Cuvée Paradis 2016
A champagne for those who appreciate great wines
The pale yellow colour is particularly luminous. The extremely fine effervescence rises quickly to the surface, topping the wine with a very elegant collar of bubbles.
The first nose is delicate and subtle. It reveals aromas of lemongrass, seringua, honeysuckle and a hint of vanilla. Then violet, bergamot, grapefruit zest, sea spray and damp chalk appear. The atmosphere is springtime, maritime and racy. This nose reveals the still very young expression of a wine with great potential.
A precise, chiselled attack on the palate, followed by a magnificent finish. It develops its body with dynamism and elegance on citrus and sea-spray aromas. Freshness and salinity produce a delicious salivation and strenghten the maritime feeling, provinding this cuvée with a creamy and crunchy texture that suggests satin. The lingering and highly salivating finish offers a great sapidity, ending on a chalky, saline sensation, perfumed with fragrances of damp chalk and grapefruit skin.
Summary
The ultimate in excellence. The balance achieved in this cuvée is so remarkable that it evokes notions of purity. We can also conclude with certainty that this champagne will make an excellent thirty year old.
